Our short overnight stay at Pahalgam (the base-camp for Amarnath Yatra) was marked with extrmeme cold weather, no heaters in the hotel room and haunted streets (as it was not tourist season yet). But the next morning came with a blissful warm sun and the Jhelum river flowed just past our hotel room.
